research indicates that xylitol can be toxic to dogs.

| Article: It's time for the annual flu shot scare |
| Each year the
pharmaceutical companies launch a “scare campaign” to promote flu shots even
though their effectiveness is questionable.
Fall is here and iti's time for being subjected to the latest “flu shot campaign”. We are notified who
needs flu shots, how much vaccine is available and where and when to receive
inoculations. Now you can even get them at your local grocery store! The one thing we are not made aware of is the fact that the
flu we are being vaccinated for may not be the one currently infecting the
population. And, tests show that most (85%) of all flu-like
illnesses are not caused the by flu virus anyway. Each spring researchers try to determine which of as many as 100 strains of flu virus may be the one that pops up in the winter. The three best guesses are chosen in the spring and included in that fall's flu shot. It’s kind of like picking lottery numbers. Even if luck is on their side, flu virus strains are constantly mutating. The only sure winner of this lottery is the pharmaceutical company.
