What makes Neptune Krill far superior to other krill and marine oils...
Only Neptune Krill has a patented cold-vacuum process that assures each of the bioactive properties of every molecule of the krill remain intact. The synergistic relationship of phospholipids and Omega-3 fatty acids makes Neptune Krill significantly more bio-available than fish oil because it allows EPA and DHA to directly enter cells.  With Neptune Krill you can take a far smaller dose because absorption is up to 5 times more than fish oil.  

 Antioxidants: The antioxidant properties of Neptune Krill are 300 times greater than vitamin A or E, and 48 times greater than  standard fish oils.  Its most powerful antioxidant effects are produced by  astaxanthin. The human body can completely metabolize this powerful antioxidant. It readily crosses the blood-brain barrier which helps to both  protect and stimulate the brain. 

Omega-3: Omega-3 Essential Fatty Acids are key components of cell membranes and vital for the development of the central nervous system, and proper brain  function.  They play a pivotal role in regulating blood clotting, blood pressure, inflammation, and are important for balanced immune response.

Unfortunately most people consume 15 to 20 times more Omega-6 than Omega-3, when the correct ratio should be “one to one”.    Because of this imbalance, 80% of Americans are deficient in Omega-3’s.  Neptune Krill provides a superior and far more absorbent form of Omega-3.   

Phospholipids:
Phospholipids form a microscopic barrier that helps cells filter out toxins that can result in disease.  They also protect against oxidative stress caused when damaging free-radical molecules break through weakened cell walls.  The EPA and DHA molecules in Neptune Krill are attached to phospholipids, making them more bio-available and better absorbed by the body than other marine oils.  And because of Neptune Krill’s high phospholipids and antioxidant content, there is no fishy aftertaste.   Standard fish oils lack this phospholipids complex. 

Sustaining the Krill species:
Krill is an important part of the diet of many Antarctic species such as seals, penguins, seabirds, and five species of filter-feeding baleen whale, so this vital food supply must be safeguarded for the protection of these animals.   Because of this, the farming of Krill is regulated by the International Commission for the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources (CCAMLR, which guards the sustainability of Antarctic Krill.   The annual catch from commercial fishing in the Southern Ocean is far less than the precautionary catch limits set by the CCAMLR.   This organization provides for the sustainability of Antarctic Krill into the foreseeable future.

Krill harvested for the bottling of Neptune Krill therapeutic oil are only taken at a specific time of day during the two months at the end of summer, when they are at a peak because of the nutrient rich phytoplankton they eat during this time.
